About Us: The original company started in 1972 as a regional distributorof repair products and a lacquer refinishing system to our trade. In the early 1980's the distributorship was terminated as the company started manufacturing waterbases. In 1989 Colorcraft Restorations purchased the company as the owners were retiring. Colorcraft Pro Products then became themanufacturing company. In June of 2005 Denny Nyrop of Colorcraft Restorations decided that it was time for him to retire and sold the manufacturing and distributing company to the Bortnem family from Brookings, SD.

We hope to continue to offer the same excellent quality products at less than the competition price by keeping our overhead low and pass the savings on to you our customer.

Gordie and Chad Bortnem have been in the mobile repair business for 16 years and have used Colorcraft Pro Products for that period of time. The combination of an active service company and a product manufacturer offers better communication based on every day customer applications. Colorcraft can better answer your questions because since 1993, we have worked on car lots and furniture. Using the products that we produce is the best quality control there is. We are doing mobile repair service work five days a week to keep current and test products that we offer.

Colorcraft has elected to support only the mobile techs and trim shops. Colorcraft does not supply or train dealerships, auction houses, car rental companies, or their affiliates (reconditioning centers) like some manufacturers/their distributors do. Colorcraft is factory direct with no distributors-PRO market control. Colorcraft has always been a family owned business since 1972. Today some of our customers are third generation "families" and many other customers have used our products for over 10 years. Colorcraft's commitment is to provide quality product systems to customers and assist them to be professionals in what they do.
